PROVIDENCE, RI (U.S.) – (August 1, 2008) – GTECH Global Services Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., has signed a two-year contract extension to continue providing online lottery technology and services to An Post National Lottery Company in Ireland. The contract extension will commence on January 1, 2009. The National Lottery has been a valued GTECH customer since 1987. The Lottery estimates the contract extension will generate approximately €28 million in revenue for GTECH, commencing in the first quarter of 2009.

Over the extension period, GTECH will continue providing the operation and maintenance of the Company’s Enterprise Series central system, 2,400 Altura® terminals, and 1,300 GVT+ terminals, as well as field service and hotline operations. The Company will also install an additional 100 Alturas with GTECH's Ticket-Scan™ terminals which offer convenient player-activated identification of winning tickets.
