GTECH PRINTING CORPORATION SELECTED BY
THE KANSAS LOTTERY AS A PROVIDER OF INSTANT-TICKET PRINTING
SERVICES
PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND - (October 08, 2008) - GTECH Printing
Corporation (GPC) announced that it has been chosen by the Kansas Lottery for
instant-ticket printing services, under a secondary five-year contract,
expiring in August 2013. The signed contract also provides for three one-year
extension options, and is the result of a competitive procurement. GPC has been
providing the Kansas Lottery with instant tickets since purchasing Creative
Games International in early 2007, and has produced more than 17 games for the
Lottery in the last eight months.
"This is a great opportunity for us to service the Kansas Lottery
in a wider capacity, and to be assessed as a high-quality, instant-ticket
supplier in a competitive environment," said Ross Dalton, GTECH
Senior Vice President of Printed Products and Licensed Content.
"This award demonstrates the Kansas Lottery's confidence in the quality of our
products and creative execution. They value our commitment to superior customer
service, responsiveness, and attention to detail."
GPC will initially manufacture the tickets at its printing
facility in Plant City, Florida; however, the Lottery is very excited about
GPC's new press and how it will translate into even faster turnaround times and
greater flexibility with game design.
"GTECH Printing Corporation has provided us with innovative game
content, precise execution strategies, and has been very timely with
deliverables," said Ed Van Petten, Executive Director of the
Kansas Lottery. "We have been extremely satisfied with the quality
of GPC's products."
GPC is the fastest growing, instant-game manufacturing company in
the industry and is currently servicing 17 customers in the U.S. and 18 more
worldwide.
