PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (U.S.) – November 3, 2008 - GTECH Corporation subsidiary, SPIELO Manufacturing ULC, announced it has signed a five-year contract to supply 2,500 new video lottery terminals (VLTs) to the Oregon State Lottery. Spielo expects to receive revenues of approximately $30 million in 2009 from the sale of the VLTs, and an additional $4 million in incremental revenue from the sale of game refreshments, beginning in 2010 through 2013. SPIELO has been providing VLTs to the Oregon Lottery since 2004.
“The Oregon Lottery operates one of the most successful and forward-looking VLT programs in the country, and we are excited to be a part of their plans to optimize their VLT network,” said SPIELO President and CEO Victor Duarte. “Our newest product, prodiGi Vu, builds upon our reputation for reliability, ease of service, and a proven game platform which are vital to any lottery-run machine gaming program. Under the terms of the contract, SPIELO will replace 2,500 existing VLTs with its prodiGi Vu™ dual wide-screen terminal. The prodiGi Vu comes fully equipped with features that greatly enhance the player’s experience and a design that accommodates future innovations.
